SOUTHFIELDS & WIMBLEDON PARK OSTEOPATH
Many of my patients in the Southfields area, come suffering shoulder pain. Shoulder pain can be the result of a wide variety of conditions, from a postural dysfunction to a frozen shoulder and tendon irritation to muscular strain.
This is often due to the amount of structures within the joint and the wide range of motion actually available. The shoulder has more motion available than any other joint in the body, making it very susceptible to injury.
The key to treating the shoulder successfully is often down to the diagnosis. Once the cause of the pain has been identified, treatment and a rehab plan can be formed, using exercises, postural advise and strengthening techniques.
TARA'S THOUGHTS ON......
The shoulder is actually one of my favourite areas to treat. With its large range of motion, there is a lot that can go wrong with it. But, once you start working on it there is often a lot of improvement that can be made.
Furthermore, I have been fortunate enough to be taught some extremely interesting and effective techniques during my studies for shoulder rehab. As a result, I've found, when dealt with properly, the shoulder can experience great long-term improvement.
